Yesterday, it was FINALLY warm enough for us to trek down to
the beach for the afternoon. The sun was out and I didn’t even need to wear a
jacket. This was a huge deal. It was a perfect day.
Shelly and I headed down to the beach after lunch and spent
hours just walking in the sand and soaking up the sun. We ran into Rachel,
Gray, and Caitlin and just enjoyed relaxing and hanging out with them.
I can’t believe that I am lucky enough to spend three months
living and going to school just a short walk away from the beach. I am so
excited for it to continue getting warmer so we can spend more time there!
YOU GUYS.
LOOK AT THE SUN.
LOOK AT THE SAND.
LOOK AT THE SEA.
Freezing water.
But still water.
NO JACKET.
BEST. DAY.
I can't even believe this view.
Shelly, Caitlin, and I.
In case you haven't already figured it out,
WE ARE ON THE BEACH.
Disclaimer: Before you get too jealous, it's cold here again. And raining right now.
As for the rest of life here: I am loving Malaga. Loving my host family. Loving Spanish (most of the time). Loving the food. Definitely missing a lot of the familiarity that is home and my family and my friends and my dogs. I am currently fighting a cold and find it most difficult to be away from home when I am sick. It is difficult to not have a direct line of communication with my parents, especially. Trying hard to remember that I have a direct line of communication with my Heavenly Father. He is the same here and is still with me here. I can talk to Him anytime and He is always listening. So grateful for that!

What wonderful pictures! I love reading about all of this. What awesome opportunities!

Think of you, and praying for you
BEACH! So so so envious of these beautiful pictures. I'm so sorry you're sick baby girl. Sickness always seems a thousand times worse when you're away from home. (Remember the first time we got sick freshman year? And we sat on of the floor and cried? Or was that just me...) I am praying for you and I hope that you continue to love it. And I am praying for some WARM WEATHER for you. Love you. Missing you always.
