Saturday was spent in Cordoba. The city is very small and
mostly known for the exquisite Mezquita.
What is amazing about this building is that it was constructed over a
long period and the changing times are reflected as you walk through. There is
also a mix of Muslim and Christian influence that has allowed it to be so well
preserved. Though the Christians destroyed all of the other mosques that could
at one time be found in Cordoba, this one remains because the Christians
converted it into a cathedral.
Check out this bridge! The Mezquita is on the other side.
Pictures can't capture the amazing architecture in this Mezquita!
Cordoba is also famous for their patios.
In May, flowers are in full bloom and they have a competition to see who has the best patio.

The city is very small, but beautiful. We had a great day wandering the streets and enjoying the sunshine!
