One day last week, while trudging to class early in the
morning, Shelly and I decided that we needed a day off. With Tabitha and Carly, we made a plan to
explore the Botanic Gardens of Malaga on Friday. One of our directors pointed
them out to us on our way into town our very first day in February and I have
wanted to make it over there ever since.
It was a great day made even more fun by the opportunity to miss class. The gardens were beautiful and it was a
welcome change to see so much green (something I am definitely missing living
in a city!)
On Saturday, we went to El Torcal with ISA. This natural park is known for it’s
incredible rock formations. The evolutionary explanation that we received in a
short video before we started the hike only gave me more confidence in the
flood! How much fun did God have shaping these amazing rocks?? Though the day was cold and very foggy, we had a great time hiking
around and enjoying the views we could see through the clouds.
